At the Zest Group, no two weddings are the same. Late March, Empire Retreat in Yallingup, TIPI’s and a luxury dining space for 160 lucky guests who dined on a delicious feast created by Rhys Passmore and his team from Supperroad. Our bride and groom, Jeremy and Courtney’s enquiry furnished inspiration and opportunity, cultivating our signature style.
A balmy March evening with a chalky sunset over lakeside, established the warm and faintly romantic mood we had to work with. We aimed to give off the relaxed ambience of a cocktail lounge using timber and rattan occasional seating. Black and neutral throw cushions were added, creating an elegant and blood aspect. To further this beautiful ambience, we incorporated gold geometric lantern clusters throughout the venue, in the perimeter of the tipi’s, on coffee tables and around the bar allowing flickering candles to let off naturally hued light to complement the beautiful venue lighting created by OMG Events.
Empire Estate set the rustic tone we would further develop through the use of our three luxurious and cosy event TIPI’s. The TIPI’s allowed an indoor / outdoor style dining space to cater for 160 guests whilst naturally bringing an artistic edge to the slightly bohemian inspired reception. The raw timber complimented beautifully with the soft natural toned floral installations hanging elegantly above the long timber dining tables that were created by the extremely talented Rebecca Grace and her team from Natural Art Flowers. We dressed the tables with natural linen napkins underneath charcoal ceramic plates, matched by crystal glassware and finished off with metallic accents of rose gold cutlery, raw candles, votives and Natural Art florals.
The following day we redesigned the event space for a “Recovery Lunch”. Utilising the versatile TIPI space, the table settings were replaced with more occasional seating, adding a Moroccan flair by scattering mismatched rugs and neutral oversized floor cushions. Saturday was of a casual bohemian grandeur alternative, setting up large white umbrellas on the surrounding grass area to accommodate for the lunch.
Every aspect of this wedding was simply stunning, the way the raw wooden TIPI’s intertwined beautifully with Empires bush backdrop. The overall picture was made up of such cohesive textures from the pampas grass lining the aisle (more magic by Natural Art Flowers) to the brides chic baroque lace gown, to the rustic embellishments, natural seagrass flooring and copper tones.
